Company Director Ron King began life in the motortrade as a mechanical apprentice and eventually became a
fully qualified mechanic. This occupation bought him a wealth of knowledge of engines and their components.
In 1980 he moved to Payen Gaskets as company representative, travelling countrywide.
1983 saw Ron move to Motive Components distributing and selling to the Northwest.
In 1991 Ron King decided to establish his own company, and from the confines of a small home office and a
Transit Van King Cams & Components was born. The company flourished, and by 1997 a premises was required
to meet demands. Frank Byrne, owner of Merseyside Engine Parts, and now the Manager of King Components Ltd,
was in a similar situation and hence the two businesses merged to become King Components.
In 1999 the company became Limited and continues to go from strength to strength, boasting a sales team
amongst the most knowledgeable in the country, a fleet of company delivery vehicles and a prompt accounts
department.
King Components Ltd is now the North West's leading motorfactor offering an excellent product range of the
aftermarkets elite brands from Elring to Ajusa, KS Winston to FAI.
